Online Bystander Intervention
Welcome to the Bystander Intervention Pilot study enrollment page. To begin the study click on the link below to access the Information Sheet and the Consent Form.
The online bystander intervention is designed to provide males with information on affirmative consent in relationships with a view to creating a safe, responsible, and inclusive campus environment at Otago University. In this pilot study, we are evaluating the online intervention program's effects on male residents, and therefore we will require you to complete the online intervention and 3 online surveys over the second semester about how you found the program and its impact on your relationships and well-being.
Male participants who complete the intervention modules, online forum and all three online surveys will be eligible to have their study identification number entered in a draw at the end of this year to win one of two New World Gift cards valued at $100.
Many thanks to all 31 of our male participants who have completed their baseline survey from your College! We have now closed registrations for this group from your College and are arranging for you to receive access to the online intervention program from the USA. Please keep an eye on your Otago student email inbox for our email with a link to and details on accessing the online program! Thanks.
