About the 2013 OWIUS Study

In 2013 we are continuing a study into student well-being at Otago University. The purpose of this study is to better understand the welfare of the students, so that their needs for well-being can be catered for by the University in the future. Our focus is on students who took part in our well-being study last year and are now flatting or living independently, as well as students who are residing at Residential Colleges and University-owned Flats this year.

We are conducting a one-off online well-being survey that is very similar to the ones that we conducted last year. This year's survey contains sections of questions which deal with students' mental and physical well-being, their mood and emotional well-being, diet, intake of caffeine, sleep etc. The 2012 and 2013 studies have received full ethical approval from the University of Otago Ethics Committee.

If you wish to take part in the 2013 study, please complete the Register for 2013 Study form (before 30 September). There will be a raffle later this year, and all participants are eligible to win a prize.
